EasyCard balance lookups
Your card number is relayed through this site's server to EasyCard's official lookup—the same data EasyCard exposes publicly. Your card number is not stored or logged on our servers; we only handle it briefly in memory to reach EasyCard and show you the result.
Balance and trips also stay on your device only if you let your browser keep them—we do not keep a server-side copy of your results. If you use "Save for later," your card number and birthdate are stored in your browser's local storage on this device only; we never receive or store saved profiles on our servers.
What we collect (analytics)
This policy describes how we handle information when you use the site.
We use PostHog analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This includes:
- Pages you visit
- Device and browser type
- Session activity (clicks, scrolls)
- IP address (used to derive approximate location such as country and region, then discarded)
We do not use PostHog to collect:
- Your EasyCard card number
- Your balance or detailed transaction payloads
- Email, name, or other personal identifiers
Separate from PostHog, we may accumulate merchant location names only (Chinese strings) server-side to improve English translations—we do not attach your card ID to those names.
Newsletter (optional)
If you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address only to send updates about new tools and related news. We do not add you automatically—you must submit the signup form yourself.
Email addresses are stored and processed by Kit (kit.com/privacy), our email provider. You can unsubscribe from any message Kit sends you.
Product poll (optional)
After several balance checks, you may see a short poll asking which tool we should build next. Your choice and any free-text suggestion are stored in a private file on our server. We do not attach your card number, IP address, or other lookup data to poll responses.
If you enter an email on the poll, it is sent to Kit for the mailing list only. It is not stored in the poll response file.
Session recordings
We record sessions to understand how visitors use our site. Sensitive input fields are automatically masked and never recorded.
Location data
We use your IP address to determine your approximate geographic location (country, region, city). We do not store your raw IP address beyond what is needed for this lookup.
Data retention
PostHog analytics data is kept for 90 days and then automatically deleted.
Your rights
You can opt out of all tracking by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings. We honor this setting and will not collect any data if it is enabled.
Third-party processors
Analytics are processed by PostHog (posthog.com/privacy). PostHog acts as a data processor on our behalf and stores data securely.
Optional newsletter signups are processed by Kit when you submit your email (see the Newsletter section above).
