EasyCard Balance Checker

Check your Taiwan EasyCard (悠遊卡) balance online in English. No app, no Mandarin needed.

The official EasyCard app requires a Taiwan phone number and is Mandarin-only, which locks out most tourists and foreign residents. Your lookup is relayed through this site's server to EasyCard's official data—the same balance and trip info EasyCard exposes publicly—then shown here in English. No account, no download, no Mandarin required.

This is a free tool built by an expat in Taiwan who got frustrated with the unfriendly Mandarin-only interface.

Use this website. Enter the 10-digit card number on the back of your EasyCard, solve the captcha, and your balance and recent transactions will appear instantly. No app or account required.

  • Can tourists check their EasyCard balance online?

Yes. This tool works for tourists and anyone holding an EasyCard. You only need the card number printed on the back of the card. No Taiwan phone number, SIM card, or local ID required.

  • Do I need to enter my birthday?

Only if your card is a registered EasyCard. Anonymous EasyCards — the ones sold at MRT stations and convenience stores — do not require a birthday. If the birthday field appears, enter the date you used when registering your card.

  • Where is my EasyCard card number?

The card number is the 10-digit number printed on the back of your EasyCard.

  • Does this work without a Taiwan phone number or SIM card?

Yes. No Taiwan phone number, SIM card, or resident ID is required. The tool works from anywhere in the world as long as you have your card number.

  • How far back does the transaction history go?

The tool shows your most recent transactions, typically covering the last 1 to 3 months depending on how frequently you use the card. Maximum is 1 year, just like on the official EasyCard website. This matches what the official EasyCard website shows.

  • Is this tool safe to use?

Yes. Your card number is relayed through this site's server to EasyCard's official lookup, the same data EasyCard exposes publicly. Your card number is not stored or logged on our servers.

  • Why are the merchant names in Chinese?

The merchant names come directly from EasyCard's servers in their original format, which is Chinese. Common ones you will see include 台北捷運 (Taipei MRT), 全家 (FamilyMart), and 統一超商 (7-Eleven). You can toggle the language to English in the top right corner.

  • Can I check my EasyCard balance from outside Taiwan?

Yes. The tool works from anywhere in the world. You do not need to be in Taiwan to check your balance or transaction history. All you need is your card number.
